As Formula One breaks up for its mid-season break, drivers and teams look to 2016 as to where they will driving for next year.
Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button, Nico Hulkenberg and Valtteri Bottas are the biggest names getting talked about right now.
Kimi Raikkonen has not had a great start to 2015 with one podium in Bahrain in 2nd. With poor qualifying results, his future at Ferrari is in doubt.
This brings in Valterri Bottas. Ferrari are considering signing the finn to replace the 2007 world champion. Williams team-mate, Felipe Massa has said that Bottas is “Key” to the driver market for 2016.
2009 world champion, Jenson Button’s future is in doubt for next year with a potential move to Williams if Bottas does take Raikkonen’s seat at Ferrari. McLaren’s other options are 2014 driver, Kevin Magnussen and Stoffel Vandoorne if Button does Bottas’s seat at Williams.
Nico Hulkenberg has been linked to Americas new F1 team, Haas F1. The team is to enter the sport in 2016.
Bottas is definitely key to the driver market and if he moves it will make a chain reaction for the whole field.
