BTCC at Knockhill

As part of my birthday next month, my family and I went to Knockhill Racing Circuit to watch the British Touring Cars in action on Sunday.

We arrived before the first British Touring Car race and witnessed a crash on the start/finish straight between two F4 cars. After that the Pit Lane was open and the drivers were signing and giving autographs.

I managed to get autographs from Jake Hill, Dave Newsham and Aron Smith.

Later in the day, Halfords Yuasa Racing had their both drivers of Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal talking to fans at the Honda base at the circuit. There I managed to get both Shedden’s and Neal’s autograph. They also gave away Honda goody bags and I was able to get myself one.

Straight after when Halfords Yuasa racing had their drivers, BMW had their 3 drivers talking to their fans and giving autographs. I got all 3 which included Rob Collard, Sam Tordoff and Jack Goff.

For most of the day, we sat at turn 8 which is called Taylor’s Hairpin. New for this year, the owners of the circuit had put in a grandstand in which you could sit or stand to watch the racing.
